This course is on “Creating Fundraising Strategies for NGOs” the course will be delivered in two-days. Firstly, the attendees will be provided with an overview of what Fundraising is, the main principles of fundraising, what makes a good fundraiser, and major fundraising activities and tools. Secondly, through interactive workshops the attendees will coordinate together in creating fundraising strategies for NGOs in different fields. The workshops aim to implement the knowledge that is learned throughout the course using practical methods.

Dena Zaki graduated from Manhattanville College in 2010 with a Bachelors in Political Science and Economics. Since her graduation she has been working in fundraising and partnerships for NGOs. She has worked with renowned NGOs such as Misr El-Kheir, CARE International and the Association for the Development and Enhancement of Women (ADEW). Currently Dena is a Development manager at Baseera Foundation for People with Visual Impairment. She is specialised in creating fundraising strategies, proposal-writing, and organising and managing fundraising activities.
Dena holds a MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Management of Nonprofits and Development Organisations from the American University in Cairo (AUC).
